ZLATNI RAT BEACH CROATIA

Relax in the clear sapphire sea of Zlatni rat beach, with 1000m of shoreline, gazing at the highest peak Vidova gora mountain.

The Golden horn beach in Bol, Croatia (often called Golden cape) beach is nature’s true masterpiece attracting visitors from all over the world. Extending 500 m into the sea, this pebbled V-shaped beach is not only uniquely beautiful, it also changes its unusual shape depending on the winds and the strong currents distinctive for the area.

Voted many times as one of the world’s most beautiful beaches, often shown in travel magazines and Croatian postcards, you sure don’t want to leave the island without taking a dip into its clear sapphire sea of Zlatni rat beach.

Almost 1000 m of shoreline provides a great spot for sunbathing and mingling your toes between the warm pebbles while admiring Vidova gora mountain just above – the highest peak of all Croatian islands rising 778 m above sea level.

If you want to escape the summer heat, find yourself a spot in the shade of the high pine trees and treat yourself to a refreshing cocktail in one of many beach bars or take a walk along the lovely 1,5 km long shadowed promenade connecting Zlatni rat beach to Bol town.

Stop at one of the promenade viewpoints and don’t forget to snap a photo of the most stunning Adriatic beach or pick a souvenir or two on the way.

WATERSPORTS

The winds and currents make Zlatni Rat beach the perfect place for jet-skiing, windsurfing, tube-riding, parasailing and other water activities.

Bol really has the ability to suit everyone’s needs therefore even adrenaline seekers won’t leave Brac island disappointed.

The winds and currents dominating the area around the Zlatni rat beach as well as the position of the beach itself make it an ideal spot for many water sports and activities such as jet-skiing, water-skiing, windsurfing, tube-riding, parasailing and many more.

Every year, Bol hosts a windsurfing competition which attracts participants from every corner of the world looping on the waves of the Golden Horn beach demonstrating their impressive skills.

Even though it is not a standard part of the tour offer, feel free to choose your favorite activity if you want to try something a bit more daring to invigorate your senses and fuel up on the excitement. Make lasting memories by enjoying the famous beach from a different perspective.

BOL TOWN, BRAC ISLAND

Explore the fishermen town, admire the impressive urban art and enjoy a stroll along the seaside promenade.

Third in size in Croatia, Brač is an island of impeccable beauty and one of the country’s most visited islands. Strolling around Bol, you will quickly discover why this bubbly town with a fishermen background is the island’s unbeatable touristic champion, having guests coming back year after year.

The scenic Zlatni rat promenade dotted with many small but beautiful beaches leads you straight to the Bol center where you’ll be greeted by the traditional stone houses neatly following the waterfront path.

One of the most interesting buildings is the one of the First Dalmatian Winemakers Association built in 1903. Today, it runs as a chic wine cellar where you can taste and buy some of the island’s finest wines produced from indigenous grapes growing on the steep sunny hills of the Vidova gora mountain.

Relish the pleasant aromas of Plavac mali or Vugava wine sitting by the shore and enjoying the view of boats gently rocking on the sea surface.

While wandering around, follow the signs by the narrow streets and you might wind up discovering the story behind “Paloc” – a house built inside of another house in Bol town!

For urban art lovers, take a short seaside walk and admire interesting wall decorations made by talented artists annually gathering in Bol on the international urban art festival – Graffiti na gradele.

For guests keen on exploring history, there is an over 500 year old Dominican monastery hidden in the shade of pine trees with a museum and library containing rare books and manuscripts dating from the 1400s.

If you simply want to take a moment to relax and enjoy the moment, we suggest choosing a nice café by the sea. Sit back under the sunshade and admire the picturesque panorama of the seaside and rolling hills of the nearby Hvar island.

KRUŠICA BAY

Discover the secluded bay and untouched nature and the well preserved submarine tunnel of the former Yugoslav army . Except for the crystal clear sea, this quiet bay hides a well preserved Yugoslav army tunnel, used as shelter for army submarines or smaller vessels protecting themselves from seaside and aerial assaults. Nowadays, the tunnel serves as a great spot for sheltering the fishermen from the strong winds and occurring storms.
