Our crew will help you get comfortable on the boat and after about an hour and half of an enjoyable speedboat ride, you will be greeted by the raw nature of Biševo – the farthest inhabited Croatian island. Composed entirely out of porous limestone and due to the persistent work of the open sea and the strong winds, the island counts over 20 caves. The most popular among them is the Blue Cave – the highlight of the tour.
The Blue Cave is the pearl of the Adriatic Sea and the most attractive landmark of the island of Vis, which attracts a large number of curious tourists. It is the number one destination for tourists from all over the world and therefore the nature of the tourist value of the whole island. Unfortunately, swimming in the cave is prohibited due to the large number of visitors.
The Blue Cave is located 5 NM from the port of Komiža, and is located in the bay Baluni on the east side of the island of Biševo. It can only be entered with a small boat with only a few people. The cave has two openings, one of which has no effect on the lighting in the cave and the other, on the south side of the cave below the sea, lets in sunlight. 24 meters long, 12 meters wide, the cave got its name after the sparkling azure blue color washing the cave walls as the sunlight enters at a certain angle through the underwater entrance, reflecting dazzling blue color from the crystal white seabed 16 meters beneath. The cave also has a pearlescent magic trick up its sleeves so don’t forget to put your hand in the sea to reveal it!
In the morning, the rays penetrate at the most favorable angle through the underwater opening of the Blue Cave, reflect on the bottom and illuminate the cave with blue. One can write for a long time about the blue cave, but you still have to experience that beauty.
While many people talk about the Blue Cave tour, and it is spectacular, the Green Cave in Croatia is not only larger, but here you can also experience the unique opportunity of swimming or snorkelling inside. Its name was derived from the emerald hue that fills the interior, the result of sunlight beaming through a small hole in the ceiling that was carved out during one of the wars.
You’ll be mesmerized by the stalactites which hang from the interior’s roof as you hear the chatter of the birds that shelter here. More daring visitors can also climb atop the large entrance and leap down into the water. According to local legend, by diving beneath the beam of light that appears and passing through it, you’ll live for 100 years.
While the Green Cave may not be as well-known as the Blue Cave, it’s certainly worth a visit take in its magnificent beauty with its stunning and unique green light effects. The Green Cave is located on the south-west side of small, uninhabited island of Ravnik.
Stiniva is the most famous and most attractive bay on the island of Vis. It is also a protected monument of nature. It is located on the south side of the island. Watching from the sea, it lures curious visitors because of it’s two high rocky cliffs that close it, which are about 5-6 meters high. Behind these cliffs hides a beautiful beach. There is a restaurant on the beach. Stiniva is best to visit until 4 pm because from then on, the sun disappears from the beach.
Even though we like to call them “blue lagoons”, the color of the sea inside the Budikovac lagoon is closer to beautiful turquoise, constantly changing shades as the sun moves on the horizon above.
Budikovac island is situated on the SE side of the island Vis and its lagoon is formed by Budikovac island and two little islands called “small Budikovac” and “Sanak” located just outside the main beach of island Budikovac. Its crystal clear sea is the perfect stage for some underwater photography and selfies to share with your friends.
It is interesting to note that Budikovac is inhabited by only one person for majority of the year. This person owns a restaurant on the island with an animal farm and a vegetable garden making it a perfect spot for many boat owners to come and enjoy in this quiet and distant location.
The shallow and crystal clear sea is the perfect spot to jump from the boat and enjoy in swimming and snorkeling in this little paradise. This is the perfect spot to grab snorkeling mask we have on board and enjoy in the underwater scenery and different kinds of fish you can discover while snorkeling here.
We choose Budikovac lagoon as a stop on our speedboat tour because it represents everything Dalmatia and Dalmatian people are about. Secluded distant beach in a natural paradise, untouched nature and clear blue sea describes the perfect vacation scenery to a majority of Croatian population. Budikovac island provides all of these and that is the main reason we decided to share its beauty with you.
Palmižana is a small settlement on Pakleni islands near island Hvar. Welcome to Hvar, an ancient town with a rich history on the island in the Croatian Adriatic Sea with the same name. Hvar is proud that it has the most sunny hours of all the islands in the Adriatic Sea.
Many people say of the town Hvar that it is a town as from a fairy- tale because its arhitecture, wonderful nature and its mild climate. Everbody can find in Hvar all what gives peace to the soul and relaxation to he body.
From the sea, we get the sight of a waterfront promenade strip bordered with a row of palm trees and seven centuries old walls, overtopped by the fortresses protecting Hvar, extending downwards to the town and to the Venetian loggia.
HvarComing from the central part of the island or using the road from the ferry harbour we arrive at the magnificent piazza, a square generally considered the most beautiful of the kind in Dalmatia, dominated by St. Stephen's Cathedral and bordered by the palaces of Groda and by the cascading stone-built houses of Burag.
But, no matter from which point this town is approached, Hvar straightway presents itself as a monument. Centuries have ground its stone, epochs, above all renaissance, have shaped its appearance.
Monuments within monuments, monuments on monuments. Hvar is a jewel hidden by the time.
We advice you to visit the fortress Fortica (Spanjola), the cathedral of Hvar, the theatre of Hvar (established in 1612) with the arsenal and the Franciscan monastery.
Hvar displays with pride the oldest municipal theatre in Europe. Hvar has been built through time by notable domestic and foreign architects. Hvar has been celebrated in verses. Hvar has been painted by the painters. But Hvar town itself is the best narrator of its own story. It is enough to come and see for oneself. That way we shall touch the piece of the legend.
You will have approximately an hour and a half to roam around the cobbled streets enjoying the vivacious atmosphere. If swimming and sunbathing took a toll on your stomach, our crew will gladly recommend a Dalmatian restaurant. Skip dessert and grab a scoop or two of ice-cream and sit along the promenade or find yourself a cozy spot on the main square and soak up the fervent energy and a little bit more of the sun before heading back to place of departure.
The boat ride back under the setting sun showing the amazing shades of red will be a cherry on the top of this thrilling day! We hope this 11 hour long boat tour will leave you just a little bit tired yet full of memories from your holiday on Dalmatia.
